Nos llegó el 2014 y con él una demostración de algunos de los regalos de Dios que llevamos dentro. Fue nuestro Director de Artes Visuales, Rafael Sánchez, nuestro Invitado Especial de la noche, que nos había pedido trajéramos papel y lápiz para su presentación, quien fue por cada mesa haciendo "garabatos" sin ton ni son en cada papel nuestro. Después de ponernos en tono con el yo interno nos ayudó a descubrir nuestra "Expresión Artística Intuitiva". Fue increíble lo que cada uno de nosotros logramos sacar de esos garabatos, y también nos dió "tarea" para aplicar el mismo proceso a la escritura. Veremos que logramos al leer las tareas en la próxima reunión. Dimos la bienvenida a nuevos miembros como Andrea Arana y Mucha de la Torre. María Barrios fue invitada por Nilda y nos sorprendió con sus garabatos. Varios leyeron poesía y narrativa, pero Rosa le leyó al año viejo y al nuevo. María Ruíz nos habló sobre su fundación "Mujer Mariposa" y la violencia doméstica, particularmente hacia mujeres. Estela G. dedicó un poema a precisamente esos garabatos que nos revolvieron la expresión del arte intuitivo. El poema a La Habana de Miriam Sarmiento, al menos a mi, me paseó por cada esquina. Se anunció oficialmente una Delegada en Uruguay Sonia Lamique. Y la bienvenida a Kurt Svatek, Delegado en Austria. Una vez más, fue una velada llena de ese ye ne se pa que tiene la famila del Cove/Rincón.

2014 is here!! May this be a year of many blessings to all. In our first meeting with the Cove's family we welcomed new members Mucha de la Torre and Andrea Arana, Rosa read poetry to the old and the new year, while others read more poetry and stories and Aida brought visual art, Maria Barrios visited us for the first time, invited by Nilda.
The Special Guest of the evening, Rafael Sanchez, our Director of Visual Arts, opened a window to yet more blessings within us, the power to create, the power of our intuitive artistic expression. We were all instructed to bring paper and pencil and Rafael went around drawing lines and circles on those papers, with no rhyme or reason, as he got us into a spiritual plane within ourselves that gave way for us to start giving shape to what was nothing before we tapped inside us. He also gave us "homework" to apply the same to writing. We are all looking forward to our next reunion. Thank you for helping us dig within ourselves to see even more of those God's given gifts that sometimes we are not aware of.
