¡Qué nochecita Mamá! ¡Animada, explosiva ( los chistes de Adria) y llena de Amor!
A pesar de que había tenido una semana fuerte y estaba muy cansada, llegué hasta el final de la fiesta pues estuvo riquísima y no precisamente por la tremenda cantidad de golosinas que se reunieron.
Ivonne llevó su Karaoke y nunca lo pudo echar a andar debido a que, como hacia tiempo no lo usaba, se le olvidó el funcionamiento ( eso nos causó mucha gracia). Luego cantó “a cappella”, Noche de Paz en alemán, inglés y español. Fue quizá el momento más emotivo de la noche, pues esa canción tiene un ángel especial y todo el grupo le hizo un coro de voces bajas ¡Espectacular!
Me pidieron que cantara y me puse en pie varias veces para hacerlo, pero tuve que volver a sentarme porque el vocerío no me dejaba ni hablar. Al final, me tiré dos numeritos de José-José que les gustó a todos.
Y que tal la Rifa?, algunos trajeron regalos para rifarlos y otra vez hubo gran algarabía. Además se hizo la votación de la nueva Directiva con algunos cambios para el 2011. Como nuestro nuevo 1er Vice, tenemos a Ernesto Soler; 2da Vice, a Nilda Puchades; Secretaria, María Ruíz quien además de su carisma ha venido haciendo excelente labor para nuestra organización; Asistente de Secretaria Sonia Castro; Miriam Weiss sigue de Tesorera, porque por su desempeño en el cargo, no tiene contrincante; Asistente de Tesorería Vilma y Marily sigue de Presidenta. En fin, una nueva Directiva con gente comprometida con el Cove para hacerlo seguir creciendo.
La noche cerró entre risas, canciones y chistes, sobre todo los de la Sra. María del Carmen Smit que con sana picardía nos hizo pasar momentos muy agradables; ella y la Sra. Gloria León hicieron revivir a Marily recuerdos pasados y hubo emoción en las tres.
Ya voy a despedirme, pero antes quiero desear a todos los miembros del Cove (que son muchos) y sus familiares en cualquier Rincón del Planeta, unas hermosas Navidades 2010 y un Fabuloso 2011! ¡Ah, y a los que nos siguen, no nos pierdan de vista porque para el año entrante, tenemos sorpresas increibles! ¡Felicidades!

What a night! Beautiful get together, people laughing, singing, two or three were dancing in the room, lts of food. It was a night to remember where you could feel the love and the friendship among everybody. Members that were not present due to health problems were remembered with the same love and they were all in our hearts and prayers.
Ivonne Martin brought her "Karaoke", but that was all, because nobody could figure out how it worked, trying their best manual skills were Sonia Castro, Adria Ruano, Roberto Weiss but at the end we all sang "a capela". But Ivonne saved the moment when she started singing "Holy Night" in German, English and Spanish. This was the most special moment of the evening, because this song has an "angel" that makes emotions surface. Everybody did a chorus and it was spectacular.! We asked Sonia to sing, but every time she tried, the noise, the laughter, was so much that she had to sit down, finally she managed to sing two songs of Jose-Jose for everyone’s delight.
The raffle was great too, a lot of members brought beautiful gifts and the noise started all over again every time somebody won.
As every December, we held the elections of Officers, there were some changes for 2011. Marily stayed as President (nobody wants that position) she is the "best". First Vice-President Ernesto Soler, 2nd Vice-President Nilda Puchades, Secretary Maria Ruiz, Assistant Secretary Sonia Castro, Tresurer Miriam Weiss ( nobody wants that position either ) no kidding! Assistant Tresurer Vilma Muises. Congratulation to all.
The night closed with people singing, reciting, saying jokes, and Maria del Carmen Smit with a lot of wit made us laugh with her jokes.
A beautiful Christmas celebration where hope was renewed for a better 2011 for The Cove/Rincon and for all its members. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
